Activating campus environment

On campuses, you will find break exercise equipment boxes that are free to use. The boxes are located in the following places:

• Oamk Kontinkangas, Louhi 2. floor lobby
• University of Oulu Kontinkangas, Tellus Stage (Aapistie 7)
• Oamk Linnanmaa COMING!
• University of Oulu Linnanmaa, top landing of the gray stairs

The walking maps created by students include various walking routes in the surroundings of the Linnanmaa and Kontinkangas campuses. The maps show the length of each route and the estimated walking time. The walking routes can be used for breaks from studying or working, walking meetings, brainstorming sessions, pair or group work, or following remote events.

You can borrow equipment while studying on campus. The equipment is stored in locker no. 1 in the lobby next to Poiju on the Linnanmaa campus of Oamk. Return the equipment to the locker after use.

Facilities for taking active breaks can be found in the following locations on the Linnanmaa campus:

• Table tennis room in central lobby (glass cube): ping pong table, wall bars, small equipment such as balance boards, foam rollers, resistance bands, kettlebells
• Library self-study room: wall bars, small equipment such as balance boards, resistance bands, gym balls
• In front of LO108 in the ATK corridor: wall bars, small equipment such as balance boards, resistance bands, exercise sticks
• In the yard there are kyykkä court, disc golf baskets and fitness equipment. These activities are located close to each other.
